The Tiger by William Blake

TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water’d heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Leviticus 8 – “The hardest part was letting go, not taking part” – Coldplay

I find it interesting that Moses was the first to perform an animal sacrifice.

God had given the instructions to Moses, and Moses in turn gave the instructions to the people and the priests. But, rather than just telling the priests what to do he demonstrated the process so they would get it right.

What a wonderful example for pastors. First describe God’s vision. Second demonstrate God’s vision. Third let others do God’s vision. Most of us pastors either 1) fail to communicate, 2) fail to guide, or 3) fail to relinquish control. I think it is important to note that once Moses demonstrated the process he let the priests take it from there.
