The main focus of today’s sermon was Matthew 5. The pastor pointed out that the phrase “wherever two or three of you gather there I am” occurs within a passage where the main focus is on forgiveness. If we know that we have offended someone, or if someone has committed an offense against us, then we need to go and communicate with that person. In our culture we believe in direct confrontation and so we need to not pretend that everything is good, if it is not.
