Moses warns Pharoah of a coming plague of locusts. The court officials are convinced that Moses is a messenger of God and beg the Pharoah to let the Hebrew people go; but the Pharoah does nothing. Moses calls for the plague and the Pharoah repents saying, ‘I confess my sin against the lord your God and against you…Forgive my sin only this once, and plead with the Lord your God to take away this terrible plague.’ However, after Moses ends the plague, the Pharoah decides not to let the people go.

Moses brings about a plague of darkness and the Pharoah threatens to have Moses killed if he see him again. Moses replies by saying, ‘very well…I will never see you again.’ The final plague (the death of the first born sons) passes through the Egyptians, but passes over the Israelites who follow God’s instructions. Finally, the people are free to leave.
